In today’s commercial and literary markets, there is no predicting what will sell. But one way to guarantee reward with writing is to write about what moves you. Debbie Lee Wesselman will discuss ways to focus on, research, and write about the topics that are important to you.

Debbie Lee Wesselmann is the author of three books of fiction: Captivity, The Earth and the Sky, and Trutor & the Balloonist. Her books fictionalize a wide range of subject matters from world cultures to art forgery to chimpanzee politics. A recipient of a 2001 NJ State Council on the Arts Fellowship, the author now lives in northeast Pennsylvania, where she teaches composition and fiction writing at Lehigh University.
